Hows it going? I'm Lisa from Cork but living in Dublin. I hope to make some real connections with more like minded people here. I've been looking for answers all my life, researching everything I could get my hands on. I feel like i'm stuck and isolated in my world and I thought the avalon forum would change that but now it seems nobody is araound. So maybe its to do with the subscription fee. Anyway looking forward to chatting with ye. Only thing is I dont meditate at all! I've realised that with all the info I've learned it will never do me any good until I go inside and meditate. Find it so hard to quiet my mind. Oops rambling Take care

Hi Lisa, welcome to our little hut in galaxy...join the club ..hehehe...I am sure most of people today feel at least a bit stuck in some kind of spiritual/mental limbo...somehow all this enormous info available to us apparently is not resulting in desired individual goals...hm million dollar question is WHY?
Meditation is a natural state of mind because mind is always meditating on something...however there are levels of meditation where particular states are consciously sought after to bring us long desired blissful emotional state...I think this is where we tend to get disillusioned and frustrated wit our spiritual and mental efforts.
I will tell you secret with no strings attached and you will owe me nothing in return ever. The secret is that all you desire and run after throughout your life is and ever was inside you. Your true happiness is nowhere but in you if only you could calm down enough and see it for yourself. No sufi, guru or priest can ever give you anything except to show you that part of yourself which escaped your mind ... true masters know this truth but often avoid speaking about it to students because students in its ignorance will run away from them thinking there is no point in having teacher if everything is within them already...teacher is supposed to make you see who you truly are and not to give you something from without yourself. Let your mind ramble all it wants and then ask her for answers to 3 basic questions: Who am I? Where do I come from? Why am I here?
If it does not answer with certainty tell her off and turn to your heart instead. You just have to relax and listen with inner ear. Answers will come if you be patient and grateful for what you already have. However if your mind gives you answers with no second thoughts on them then thank her and soon after that you should feel peace in your heart and quite peculiar feeling of ease throughout your being.
I hope this gives you some solace in your ramblings...be safe and well dear soul....
